FOUNDED IN 1978 Nand Kishore Chaudhary (NKC) founded the idea of Jaipur Rugs in 1978 working beside 9 artisans on two looms.  ON THE PRINCIPLE OF DIGNITY NKC started his business on the principle of dignity, employing “untouchables” and subverting centuries-old practices that had shunned the poor, women and artists.
